PIK3CG and cancer: Using this methodology, we identified a number of CpG sites which are differentially methylated and discuss the potential of using these biomarkers as screening tools for disruptions in the NRF2-PI3K oncogenic signaling pathway, which acts as the major regulator of cytoprotective responses to both endogenous and exogenous stresses from reactive oxygen species (ROS), and serve as potential epigenetic biomodifiers in the diagnosis and treatment of the screened cancers.
