Interestingly, the enrichment analysis (Figure 7) did not highlight any of the commonly disrupted pathways (e.g., ARF-MDM2-p53, NRF2-KEAP1 and PI3K pathways) found in most cancers, despite our initial comparative analysis, which suggested the hypermethylation of associated genes across the four canonical pathways in this manuscript (Section 3.1).
