In this section, we investigated the methylation profile of genes associated with four oncogenic signaling pathways (ARF-MDM2-p53, NRF2-KEAP1 and PIK3, Hippo and Wnt, and retinoblastoma (RB)) that were found to be disrupted in most cancers, and identified methylated genes which could serve as potential targets for cancer therapeutics. The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is cancer.
