Based on the latter, a small percentage of TN-AML cases would have been reassigned for disease risk due to gene mutations involving TP53, ASXL1, RUNX1. Since all these genotypes correlate to adverse prognosis, it could reasonably be assumed that the enucleation of such cases would not alter the overall results, and, in particular, the relatively good outcome of the IPS_0 group. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and acute myeloid leukemia.
