Based on the notion that serum neutralizing antibodies might also reduce the binding of SARS-CoV-2 to ACE2 in vitro, we developed an sVNT, as reported by others.30 We applied the sVNT to determine the levels of neutralizing antibodies in the serum of COVID-19 convalescents and compared them to healthy controls. This evidence concerns the gene ACE2 and COVID-19.
