RT-PCR and Western blot analyses have revealed relatively high MAPK15 expression in a few non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) lines [46]; however, MAPK15 levels were found to be clearly detectable in lung biopsies of normal tissues but markedly lower in lung carcinomas, including one case of SCLC [36]. The gene discussed is MAPK15; the disease is small cell lung carcinoma.
