The proposed ML-based model confirms the previously reported risk factors (e.g., c-peptide, insulin, albumin, uric acid) for obesity and suggests additional biomarkers pertinent to morbidities such as diabetes (e.g., HbA1c, glucose), liver function (e.g., alkaline phosphatase, gamma-glutamyl transferase), bone-joint function, lipid profile, etc. Interestingly, we observe a net positive impact of the hypothesized protective factors of obesity on bone mass (e.g., bone area, bone mineral composition, bone mineral density, etc.)as compared to the hypothesized harmful factors. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and obesity disorder.
