INS and Obesity: The proposed ML-based model confirms the previously reported risk factors (e.g., c-peptide, insulin, albumin, uric acid) for obesity and suggests additional biomarkers pertinent to morbidities such as diabetes (e.g., HbA1c, glucose), liver function (e.g., alkaline phosphatase, gamma-glutamyl transferase), bone-joint function, lipid profile, etc. Interestingly, we observe a net positive impact of the hypothesized protective factors of obesity on bone mass (e.g., bone area, bone mineral composition, bone mineral density, etc.)as compared to the hypothesized harmful factors.
