Patients with high levels of PARP1 had better OS (median survival of 42 months of high PARP1 group vs 23 months of low PARP1 group, P = 0.027, log-rank test; Figure 1A) and progression-free survival (PFS) (median survival of 27 months of high PARP1 group vs 12 months of low PARP1 group; P = 0.061, log-rank test; Figure 1B) than those with low levels of PARP1. To gain insight into the mechanisms leading to high PARP1 expression in SCLC, we investigated MYC paralog expression in multiple SCLC RNA-seq data sets. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is small cell lung carcinoma.
