More karyopyknosis and nuclear fragmentation with homogeneous red-stained areas were observed in Group D. All the treatment groups demonstrated a reduced HIF-1α expression compared to the control group, with the lowest value in Group D (F = 37.969, P < 0.001), which may result from the relief of tumor hypoxia due to necrosis.
