Although no significant correlations were observed between METTL16 expression and clinicopathological features such as age, gender, pathological grade, clinical stage, and tumor size (Supplementary Table S21), we found a lower level of METTL16 in patients with stage 3/4 than that in patients with stage 1/2 (Figure 4B, P = 0.0282).
