Monocytes isolated from RA patients show elevated levels of positive osteoclastic regulators miR-182 and NFATc1, and repressed levels of anti-osteoclastic regulators including RBP-J, Forkhead box class O 3 (FOXO3) and protein kinase double-stranded RNA-dependent (PKR) compared to healthy donors (46, 47). This evidence concerns the gene FOXO3 and rheumatoid arthritis.
