Three different ALT activation profiles were identified: pHGG with single tumour cells featuring large and very bright intranuclear telomere signals (≥ 5% of cells); pHGG with homogeneous areas of telomere elongation characterised by bright signals in large neoplastic regions; and pHGG with small, homogeneous telomere signals indicative of a basal-level telomere length. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and neoplasm.
