GPC3 and hepatocellular carcinoma: So, a new series of imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole-linked thiadiazole conjugates was synthesized and then, on the basis of comparative molecular docking study to identify the inhibition potency of these compounds to GPC-3 protein, it was found that the newly synthesized compounds have potent pharmacological activities as the upregulation of Glypican-3, which associated with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) [18].
