Studies have implicated several miRNA involving cardiomyocyte survival in IR injury and protection from acute coronary syndrome [33,34,35] Of the miRNA differentially regulated in Group 2 (see Figure 6), miR-199a appears to have an important role since it regulates hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) and proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) δ in favor of PPAR γ. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and acute coronary syndrome.
