Hong et al. [69] showed that AML exosomes co-incubated with human natural killer (NK) cells inhibit expression of NKG2D, a major recognition receptor involved in tumour cell recognition and HNSCC exosomes’ suppressed activation and proliferation of activated T lymphocytes by downregulating expression levels of CD69 in co-culture. This evidence concerns the gene CD69 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
