Using Diana mirPath v3 we performed KEGG pathway analyses of potential targets for EV-associated miRNAs with altered levels upon infection (listed in Tables S5 and S6), which revealed an enrichment of signaling pathways involved in neurodevelopmental processes including Wnt signaling, Pi3K-Akt signaling and signaling pathways regulating pluripotency of stem cell, among others (Figure 8). The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is infection.
