Based on multivariable logistic regression analysis limited by sample size but nonetheless informative for clinical care, only female sex increased the odds of hypothyroidism (OR, 19.6; 95% CI, 3.0-129.4; P = .002); age (OR, 1.1; 95% CI, 1.0-1.2), pathogenic variants in BRAF V600E (OR, 0.7; 95% CI, 0.1-3.5), abnormal sellar imaging (OR, 0.7; 95% CI, 0.1-4.3), and pituitary hormonal dysfunction (OR, 2.2; 95% CI, 0.7-6.6) had no influence. The gene discussed is BRAF; the disease is hypothyroidism.
