NFKB1 and acute pancreatitis: In acute pancreatitis, inflammatory cytokines, e.g. tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin 1 (IL1), could combine with receptors and activate the IkBa kinase, which released the NF-κB from the cytoplasm NF-κB/IkB complex and forming a p50/RelA dimers (Jakkampudi et al., 2016) (Figure 3).
