The hallmark histopathologic diagnosis of HBOC-related tubo-ovarian cancer due to BRCA mutations is that of high-grade serous carcinoma (40–42), and the frequency of BRCA1 and BRCA2 germline mutations increases to approximately 25% in patients diagnosed with these neoplasms (43–45). The gene discussed is BRCA2; the disease is serous adenocarcinoma.
