Treatment with CPI-613 (an alpha ketoglutarate dehydrogenase inhibitor), metformin (a respiratory chain complex I inhibitor) or oligomycin A (an ATP synthase inhibitor) was associated with significantly lower CLL B-cell viability (p < 0.05, p < 0.01 and p < 0.01, respectively) (Fig. 7a) and calculation of the coefficient of drug interaction (CDI) indicated a synergistic effect (CDI < 0.7) (Fig. 7b). Here, OGDH is linked to B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
