The IPA identified in the I. okamurae has not been reported to be involved in inflammation relief, but it has been selected as a candidate because it has recently been newly identified as another main phlorotannin in I. okamurae. Numerous reports have associated TNF-α and NF-κB with muscle wasting diseases and myopathy [48,49,50]. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is myopathy.
