Significantly higher gene-specific promoter methylation of SOX7 (55% of patients) [70], ID4 [71], SOX17 [72], DLX4 [73], GPX3 [74], DLC-1 [75], CDKN2A/B [76], and WNT antagonists (sFRP1/2/4/5, DKK-1/3) [77] have also been found in MDS. This evidence concerns the gene SOX7 and myelodysplastic syndrome.
