CLQ and HCQ are drugs that are included in the treatment scheme for RA [43] because of their effects in the inhibition of the processing and presentation of antigens [79] and because they limit the activation and proliferation of T-lymphocytes and the synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines [80] such as TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 [81], IL-17, and IL-22 [82].
