Strassman et al. [65] evaluated neuroendocrine, cardiovascular, autonomic, and subjective effects following i.v. administration of 0.2 and 0.4 mg/kg of DMT to experienced hallucinogen users, mydriasis, elevated heart rate, blood pressure, and rectal temperature being observed, as well as higher blood concentrations of β-endorphin, corticotropin, cortisol, and prolactin, which are affected by serotonergic stimuli. Here, PRL is linked to Mydriasis.
