As reported previously, when we evaluated the percentage of circulating CD4+CD25+FoxP3+ cells, we observed a 5-fold lower frequency of Tregs in PAC patients, compared with HD (MD 1.04%, IQR 0.395–1.515 versus MD 9.89%, IQR 4.01–10.07, respectively; p = 0.0001) (Figure 1).
