In further study of the association between ferroptosis and tumor aggressiveness, we found that higher expression of the two most enriched ferroptosis genes, lysyl oxidase (LOX) and six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate 3 (STEAP3), as well as five other highly enriched ferroptosis genes, are all associated with poorer survival in GBM patients (Fig. 7e). This evidence concerns the gene STEAP3 and neoplasm.
