To determine whether the localization of DDX56 changes during infection, we fractionated uninfected or CHIKV-infected cells at 20 h postinfection (hpi) and assessed levels of DDX56 in nuclear and cytoplasmic compartments by immunoblotting, using the nuclear protein Lamin B1 and the cytoplasmic protein tubulin as controls for purity.
