In terms of inflammation, there was no significant difference in leukocyte counts (P = 0.22) and C-reactive protein (P = 0.75) between both groups, however, the neutrophil percentage in PJP patients was higher than in CMV-P group (P = 0.01), and the lymphocyte percentage in CMV-P was higher than in PJP group (P = 0.02). Here, CRP is linked to pneumocystosis.
