In contrast to the aetiology of cancers associated with mutations in BAP1, mutations in ASXL1 and ASXL2 are strongly linked to myeloid cell cancers [49,60,61,62,63], with ~11% of haematopoietic cancers bearing ASXL1 mutations (COSMIC). This evidence concerns the gene ASXL1 and hematopoietic and lymphoid cell neoplasm.
