Compared with the healthy controls, serum levels of white blood cells, creatinine (SCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), uric acid, and the total cholesterol were significantly increased in CKD patients, and the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), serum levels of red blood cells, and albumin (ALB) levels were significantly decreased in CKD patients (Table 1).
