Due to the availability of overnight 1-mg DST data only in one patient, we cannot exclude the possibility of subclinical Cushing syndrome in other patients, though, whose ACTH, cortisol rhythm, midnight cortisol, and 24h urinary free cortisol data seem to suggest normal cortisol secretion. The gene discussed is POMC; the disease is Cushing syndrome due to macronodular adrenal hyperplasia.
