As a conclusion, miR-488 is provided as a novel biomarker for inhibition of the development of breast cancer, through inhibiting the abnormal cytoskeletal structure with the downregulation of FSCN1 expression, which can be promoted by the transcriptional factor, Notch3, providing the Notch3/miR-488/FSCN1 axis as novel treatment strategies for the patients with breast cancer. The gene discussed is FSCN1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
