Interestingly, CD8 T cells in CLL show elevated production of IFN‐γ and TNF‐α across T‐cell subsets, indicating that increased production of these cytokines in CLL is not caused merely by skewed differentiation of the global CD8 T‐cell compartment (Fig. 4A).
