Increased hs-TnT levels were associated with hallmarks of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) with a higher median left ventricular (LV) mass (253.1 vs. 216.8 g, p = 0.005), a higher prevalence of severe diastolic dysfunction (26.3% vs. 10.6%, p = 0.004) and a higher median NT-proBNP level (1978 vs. 739.5 pg/mL, p < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and heart failure.
