Compared to people without microalbuminuria, people with microalbuminuria had a longer mean duration of diabetes, a higher mean HbA1c level, a higher rate of hypertension, a higher mean systolic blood pressure, a higher mean HOMA‐IR level and a higher rate of angiotensin‐converting enzyme inhibitor/angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) use.
