Previous studies have confirmed that patients with HR− and HER2+ disease are more sensitive to chemotherapy, which is in line with the results of our study.12,40,41 Furthermore, for the high-risk populations (triple-negative, HER2+), NCT may be the first choice; however, because of tumor heterogeneity, not all HER2+ or triple-negative breast cancer patients respond well to chemotherapy.
