To further assess the association between infection phase and spontaneous HBsAg seroclearance, we adjusted for sex, age, ethnicity, and study setting and showed that immune active, eAg+, immune active, eAg−, and immune tolerant were significantly associated with lower probability of spontaneous HBsAg seroclearance (see Table 8, Supplementary Digital Content 1, http://links.lww.com/CTG/A366).
