Of note, TS14 and PWS group patients were primarily classified into category B. An expression study by Habib et al. using skin fibroblasts of the patients with TS14 and control subjects suggested the possibility that the increased expression of maternally expressed 14q32.2 non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), such as MEG3 and MEG8, leads to the decreased gene expression of IPW and SNURF on 15q11-13 [6]. The gene discussed is MEG8; the disease is Prader-Willi syndrome.
