Interestingly, when patients were analyzed according to the type of lung cancer, the upregulation of TRIM28 was associated with worse OS and FP in LUAD (OS HR = 2.65, p < 0.001; FP HR = 2.00, p < 0.001), but was not associated with OS in lung squamous cell carcinoma (OS HR = 1.25, p = 0.095). This evidence concerns the gene TRIM28 and lung cancer.
