In univariate Cox hazard analysis, age (> 65 years old), low body mass index (BMI) (< 20 kg/m2), history of myocardial infarction and PCI, renal failure, cardiac arrest at out of hospital, shock on admission, Killip class 3 or 4, total- and LDL- cholesterol, hemodialysis, eGFR <60 mL/min/1.73m2 and using beta-blocker and insulin were significantly associated with MACE. This evidence concerns the gene INS and acute kidney injury.
