CRP levels were significantly higher for syphilis‐positive ischemic stroke patients compared with syphilis‐negative controls (1.95 ± 0.24 versus 1.68 ± 0.37, p < .001; Table 1), but not associated with stenosis in ischemic stroke patients with positive syphilis serology (OR, 1.24; 95% CI 0.62–2.50, p = .532; Table 3). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and ischemic stroke.
