The results showed that PKP1 protein was not detected in ovarian cancer tissues and normal tissues; the levels of PKP2 and PKP3 proteins were significantly higher in ovarian cancer tissues than those in normal tissues, PKP2 protein was mainly located in nuclear, cell membrane and cytoplasm, and PKP3 protein was mainly located to the cell membrane and cytoplasm (Fig. 2A (a–c), Additional file 1: Table S1). The gene discussed is PKP2; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
