Importantly, we have shown that Cep55 overexpression leads to the induction of pleotropic events such as Pi3k/Akt pathway activation, Chk1 sequestration compromising the replication checkpoint, and stabilized microtubules along with chromosomal segregation anomalies which all together cause CIN. Here, CEP55 is linked to cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
