Microarray analysis of MCF-7 breast cancer cells within a dynamic TGFβ-dependent EMT program exhibited an increased expression of CTGF, CD44 molecule (CD44), Sushi, von Willebrand factor type A, EGF and pentraxin domain containing 1 (SVEP1), Transforming growth factor-beta-induced protein ig-h3 (TGFBI), Secreted Protein Acidic And Cysteine Rich (SPARC), Lysyl oxidase (LOX), FN1 and Matrix Metallopeptidase 2 (MMP2) and Follistatin-like 1(FSTL1)14. Here, CD44 is linked to breast carcinoma.
