To identify other CPAs with similar expression profiles to VGLL1, we searched the GTex, TCGA, and other RNAseq databases for genes that demonstrated the following attributes: (1) highest normal tissue expression in placenta; (2) low to absent expression in other normal tissues; and (3) elevated expression in pancreatic, breast, bladder, and/or ovarian cancer. Here, VGLL1 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
