Interestingly, Chorionic Gonadotropin (CG) Beta subunits 3 and 5 (CGB3/CGB5), components of the CG hormone complex produced by placental trophoblasts during pregnancy, were also identified as potential CPAs due to their overexpression in a subset of pancreatic, testicular, uterine, and bladder cancers (Fig. 3b). This evidence concerns the gene CGB3 and urinary bladder cancer.
