CCL8 and myocardial infarction: We further evaluated the expression of Clmp and inflammatory genes using qRT‐PCR and found that the expression levels of Il‐1β, C4b, Ighg1, Ighm, Igkc, J chain and Ccl8 were significantly increased in the Clmp+/− MI heart compared with the wild‐type MI heart (Figure 4D‐K), which indicates an increased inflammatory response triggered in Clmp+/− MI heart.
