To further investigate the functions of Zmat3 in tumor suppression, we evaluated the impact of its loss in c-MYC-driven lymphomagenesis and mutant KrasG12D-driven non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)21, in which the p53 pathway has been shown to play a critical tumor suppressive role22–24. The gene discussed is ZMAT3; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
