Additional to breast tumours, three studies have been published (Table 1) that assessed differences in gene expression profiles between BRCA1/2-associated ovarian tumours and BRCAx ovarian tumours [7,17,22], and a further study identified a precancerous signature in the fallopian tube tissue of the BRCA1 pathogenic variant [16]. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and ovarian neoplasm.
