NF-kB signaling is known to regulate inflammation and cancer development through two different canonical and noncanonical pathways: the first one plays a prominent role in inflammation, due to the increased transcription of several pro-inflammatory genes, whereas an exacerbation of the noncanonical pathway seems to be potentially associated to rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, or B cell lymphomas [261,262].
