It has been observed that in lipopolysaccharides (LPS)-treated pregnant rats to create a PE model (LPS 0.5 μg/kg on gestational day 5), the administration of curcumin (0.36 mg/kg, from GD 0 to GD18) improved hypertension, proteinuria, and renal damage, and reduced serum levels of IL-6 and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1).
