Patients with SLE with active disease activity (N = 20) displayed significantly elevated plasma expression of IL‐38 as compared with patients with less active disease activity (N = 21) (386.92 [357.69‐406.30] vs 310.55 [256.56‐350.54] pg/mL, P < .005) (Figure 1A).
