The first lncRNA found to be involved in lung cancer metastases was metastasis-associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) (129), and subsequently, Zhang and colleagues found that exosomal MALAT1 was highly expressed in NSCLC patients’ serum, which accelerated tumor migration and proliferation by suppressing cell apoptosis and shorting cell cycle (25). The gene discussed is MALAT1; the disease is lung cancer.
